General Secretary of the Hellenic Society of Family Planning, Contraception and Reproductive Health

I anticipate to represent my country in the ESC Board with the aim of continuing my endeavours to inform the Hellenic society about the important issues of Contraception and Reproductive Medicine. These efforts aim at decreasing the rates of elective abortions as well as of sexually transmitted diseases and improving the perinatal outcomes in Greece.

Moreover, I aspire to foster the collaboration between my country and other fellow European members in projects that will serve our society’s aims and will also have major impact on women’s lives. In these turbulent times, if we succeed in uniting our efforts and achieve multicenter cooperation, then we will have an opportunity for a remarkable Board Mandate.

I have extensive clinical and research experience in primary ovarian insufficiency, menopause, implantation, polycystic ovarian syndrome and recurrent miscarriages. I have a great interest in fertility awareness. As General Secretary of the Hellenic Society of Family Planning, Contraception and Reproductive Health, we have organised numerous school visits and informational events under the auspices of the Ministry of Education. During these events, adolescents had the opportunity to learn about contraceptive methods and the planning of a desirable pregnancy.
